Haven't had that food in a while. But stopped off for a couple of daiquiris. Ended up getting a gallon for $15 Best deal in town if you register with them

Whoops! Ordered online for pickup and accidentally chose this location instead of the Tulane location so we decided to eat it there. We got a roast beef poboy and a red bean and rice plate with chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. The roast beef poboy was perfectly sloppy and the red beans were good but had too much rice and needed a healthy dose of hot sauce. It was nice to see the original location, but we'll probably stick with the Tulane location.

Me & my husband had Melbas after a late night ghost tour, and we came across it and decided to try it out. It was busy, (Late Saturday night) but we didn't mind the wait. I ordered Bourbon chicken on rice with a side of jambalaya. My husband had the ribs with Mac & cheese. They both come with a corn bread. And we had a side order of their hot sausage and tots. We were sooo satisfied with everything! Very filling at a great price point. The place itself has a lot of beautiful character. The flavors of everything was amazinggg! Corn bread was perfect. It just tasted as delicious as it looks! 10/10 recommend!

Melba's has never failed to satisfy my late-night needs, even when I probably shouldn't be considering this a "need" The staff here is always friendly and helpful. I'm not a regular, I sometimes need a little assistance navigating the menu and ordering process. Once inside, you can either check out the menu for options or choose items from a cafeteria-style line. They also have a seating area, but I usually opt for takeout. The food at Melba's definitely gets the FYE! () stamp!

A friend suggested this place as a stop off for dinner after a late flight in. Great selection. It has a quirky vibe along with modern technology (like kiosk ordering). Nice daiquiris and excellent poboys. As for the specifics on the roast beef poboy, plenty of tasty roast beef, but it could have used more gravy. That's was the only thing I could suggest to improve the sandwich. They have a literacy campaign they highly publicize inside. Nice community involvement there. Now, add the laundromat inside, and you have to admit it's a truly unique business. The dining side has a patio as well as inside seating, so depending on the weather you can make yourself as comfy as you like.

A group of friends and I visited NOLA in August and our Air BnB was just minutes away from Melba's so we ended up visiting here a few times over our 4 day trip. Since we were from out of town, we walked to Melba's, but there is a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. There are 2 entrances. One entrance takes you to the bar and the other is where you order food. There's also a laundromat attached as well, although I did not ever go into that area, but I'm sure it's extremely convenient. There are kiosks to order your food, but you can also go to the line to see what is available. It's open pretty late so great for grabbing a bite late-night after Bourbon Street as well. The food itself was good, not spectacular, but the convenience makes it much better. I had wings on one visit and then breakfast another morning. There is some seating in the area to order food, but if it's busy those areas are mainly filled with people waiting for orders to be completed. There is much more in the bar and patio area. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, especially since they are open so late. It was much needed after our night out on Bourbon!

This was my first visit to Melba's, and it didn't disappoint. It looks small when you pull up, but it's actually a nice size establishment. They have a kiosk where you can order, or you can go straight to the line and see some of the food available. There is seating in another area of the restaurant. The staff was super friendly, definitely a New Orleans vibe with the family vibe. The restroom is secure, where they buzz you in. It's visually clean, but it did smell like urine. I'm not sure how often during the day it's cleaned. The food looks amazing behind that glass. I ordered the stuffed peppers, and I tell you...it was a reminder of my mom's stuffed peppers. They were so good. I added the collards with that, and they were seasoned just right. It comes with cornbread, which was also good. I'll definitely be sending my husband to pick up dinner real soon
